Our Offers

The AFS GCC Abroad develops learners’ global competence before, during and after an international experience. The curriculum is delivered in 18 online modules supported by a trained Qualified Facilitator. Learners will Global Up by engaging in reflection, live dialogue sessions, peer forums and using their experiences as ways to make intercultural theories come to life. After completing the AFS GCC Abroad learners are equipped with skills and strategies for using their self-awareness and awareness of others for how to bridge across differences while in a new context and when they return home.

In the AFS GCC At Home learners are invited to collaborate effectively across differences through the virtual interactive program that requires no travel. The GCC At Home brings into learners’ awareness that culture is all around us, even within our own communities or local context. Learners will Global Up by engaging in the curriculum that’s categorized into modules that bring them Inward, Outward and Forward. The full set modules below can be used as shown or rearranged and tailored to meet the needs of a specific audience. After completing the AFS GCC At Home learners are equipped with skills and strategies for using their self-awareness and awareness of others for how to bridge across differences while working on a diverse team, studying with peers or being an active member of their community.

With the AFS GCC At Work learners will learn to collaborate effectively across differences through the virtual interactive program that requires no travel. The GCC At Work teaches the skills and strategies necessary to work effectively on diverse teams. Learners will Global Up by engaging in the curriculum that’s categorized into modules that bring them Inward, Outward and Forward. The full set modules below can be used as shown or rearranged and tailored to meet the needs of a specific audience. After completing the AFS GCC At Work learners are more self-aware, aware of other perspectives and can bridge across differences.

Inspired by the GCC Special Edition we put together due to program changes for AFS students during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have now created a Teen-friendly version of the award-winning AFS Global Competence Certificate, featuring a closed, minors-only platform for connecting and sharing with other learners worldwide.
