Exploring the Area:

The Culture of Tunisia is a product of more than 3000 years of history and an important multi-ethnic influx.

During their stay in Tunisia, the participants will also approach the culture and history through several outdoor activities, organized by AFS, in Tunis, the surrounding area, and the country. This will be mainly done through excursions which will be organized during two weekends.

The first excursion will allow the students to explore our capital, starting with Medina, Carthage with its one of a kind Punic Port, archaeological sites, and museum(s), Sidi Bou Said Village.

The second excursion, a week-end long excursion, will allow our students to visit a place well known for its pristine beaches, history and archaeological site. Throughout their time in Tunisia, the students will have the opportunity to live with host families and have the incredible experience of immersing themselves in the local lifestyles. Also, they will have the opportunity to meet our AFS Volunteers whose only wish will be to share with them the hidden gems of our capital and of our country.
