5 Things Every
Returnee Should Do

Whether you went abroad years ago, or just last year, here are a few things every Returnee should do.

1. Update your Contact Info

Be sure to let us know how to reach you so we can keep you in the loop with AFS events in your community. Send your updated contact information to info-mas@afs.org

2. Stay in the Know

Subscribe to the AFS Malaysia Budaya Beat to receive regular updates about inspiring Returnees and learn about Returnee resources and ways to stay involved with AFS.

Join the AFS Malaysia Returnee Alumni Facebook group and connect with Returnees while getting real-time info.

Follow @AFSMalaysia on Twitter or @AFSMalaysia on Instagram.

3. Become an AFS Volunteer

Returnees of all ages are AFS Volunteers. Here is your chance to get involved. Are you looking for ways to be active in your retirement? Are you looking for experience to add to your resume? Becoming an AFS Volunteer is a way to continue your AFS experience while making a difference in your community.

4. Give Back

AFS Malaysia is ability to deliver life-changing experiences depends on the generous support of a community of thousands of committed returnees, volunteers, host families, parents, and many other friends across the U.S. and the world. Returnees, like you, have experienced the impact of AFS first hand and we appreciate your consideration of giving back to the organization by helping support AFS Malaysia through a financial donation. There are many ways to give such as during the Gala Dinner and Scholarship Gifts. We also offer a number of convenient options for your giving plan, including one-time gifts and monthly giving.

5. Share your Photos, Videos, Podcasts, Blogs

The sights and sounds you captured during your AFS program inspire students considering study abroad. Take a minute and share your story with next generation of AFSers:

Submit Photos: nurhasliza.sahadi@afs.org

Upload Videos: AFSMalaysia on Youtube will broadcast any video you captured while abroad.
