10/2/2009 - Malaysians to join YES Training of Trainers Workshop
Faisal Hassan, YES Alumni president and Agan Francis Robert a YES alumni member were selected to participate in the second YES Training of Trainers Workshop, a component of the Sponsored Programs ECA Workshop in Washington DC.
The training of Trainers Workshop is organized to improve the interpersonal and leadership skills capacity of YES Alumni as well as, to provide YES alumni with skills and tools necessary to effectively train other alumni upon returning home.
Faisal Hassan and Agan Robert, both 20 years old, were selected based on their commitment and passion for the YES alumni. Faisal currently leads the alumni as the President while Agan has been actively volunteering with Sarawak Chapter. Both YES alumnus went on the YES program in 2007. Faisal Hassan was hosted in Washington State and Agan Robert was hosted in Athol, Massachusetts.
The training will be held in Washington DC from the March 7-12th, 2009. Both participants will be joining the following workshops while they are in United States of America.

YES Abroad Selection Camp, Houston, March 12-15th
Sponsored Programs Workshop, Washington DC, March 17th – 22nd
Syant Alias (YES Alumni 2004) and Ashvin Nambiar (Ex-Vice President of YES Alumni) represented AFS Antarabudaya Malaysia last year for the Training of Trainers in Washington, DC while Ng Yah Tyng (YES Alumni 2006) represented YES Malaysia for the Spring Workshop
