KIZUNA PROJECT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM TO JAPAN
Japanese Government has launched the Youth-Exchange Project with Asia-Oceania and North America ( KIZUNA (bond) Project ) as follows :
1. Semester Program (SM)
2. Very Short Program (VS) - December
This project is a part of Japanese reconstruction plans and aims at promoting global understanding of Japan's revival efforts in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Participants on KIZUNA Very Short Program are required to participate in a 4-day program organized by Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) in Tohoku disaster area (except for the restricted area and deliberate evacuation area) during their experience and the Semester Program participants are required to visit 3 times, 4 days each time.
Who can apply?
15-18 year old Malaysian students with outstanding school track record. The candidate should be confident, responsible, mature and having a sound knowledge of Japanese language is a definite advantage. Shortlisted candidates will be called up for a 2nd interview in Kuala Lumpur.
What is the Criteria? Applicants should:
Understand and agree to the aims of the project
Be enrolled in high school or equivalent in Malaysia at the time of application
Be capable of adjusting themselves to family life abroad and have the ability to conduct daily conversation in English or Japanese
Preferred not to have joined a similar programme to Japan
