As there have been more students strongly recommended than the number of scholarships available, the AFS Selection Committee has decided to hold a National Selection Camp where there will be a 2nd interview. Kindly refer  to the namelist attached below to know if you are the lucky ones  selected to participated in this Selection Camp!

Details  of the  Selection Camp are as stated  below:

Date       :  Friday, 21 July to Sunday, 23 July 2017
Venue    : Crystal Crown Hotel, No. 12, Jalan Utara, PJS 52, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Time       : 9.00AM (Friday) till  1.00PM   (Sunday)
Attire     : Semi-formal

PARENT’S BRIEFING
All  parents are invited to attend an optional briefing at the same venue on  Friday, 21st July   at 10.00AM – 11.00AM. Seating is limited to  two seats  per family due to space constraint. Kindly RSVP by  Friday, 14th July 2017

ONLINE APPLICATION
As part of this selection process, you are required to fill an Online Application before attending this camp. Kindly log on to  https://www.afsglobal.org/participant1.3  to register and  select   YES Inbound (Youth Exchange & Study for Winter Arrival).  For instructions, kindly refer to the  2017-2018 YES Application Instruction PDF  and the  2017-2018 Application Master Sample  provided. This Online Application must be completed by  Monday, 17th July 2017.

HOW TO GET THERE?
Your parents may drive to the hotel directly but please be informed that the hotel has limited parking lots. If you are heading to the hotel from KLIA2, make your way to KLIA and take the KLIA Express to KL Sentral and then take the LRT to Stesen Taman Jaya. The hotel is located 5 minutes from there. Alternatively, you can take a bus from KLIA2 directly to KL Sentral with a cheaper fare.

DRESS CODE
Smart Casual/Semi-formal. Jeans, collared shirts, blouses, khakis are fine. Shorts/Short skirts/slippers/sleeveless tops are strictly  not allowed   during the camp.
Kindly bring one set of school uniform to wear during your interview. Also, do not forget to bring along your sports attire :- long track pants & t shirts; to be worn during activities indoors/outdoors (within the compound of the hotel).

All student’s are advised to take care of your personal belongings during the camp. Please avoid bringing valuable items such as laptops, tablets, DSLR/Digital Cameras to the camp.

IMPORTANT
Please do not forget to bring along your Original Certificates and exam results from Form 3 to Form 5 (if you have not attached it to your Preliminary Application) and also latest exam results (Peperiksaan Pertengahan Tahun/Mid-year Exam Results).
If you do not have the original certificates, you may bring photocopies of them.

LODGING AND MEALS
All participants will be allocated a twin sharing room which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea breaks. For those with dietary restrictions, please feel free to contact us and we will place your dietary request with the hotel.

SCHOOL LETTER
For those who need a letter to be given to your school, please print out the Invitation Letter and Name list attached to be passed to your School Counselor.
